A New Lens & 365

Oh my goodness gracious! I was able to rent a lens for this weekend’s event that I’m going to. I’m going to an ultimate frisbee tournament. Supposedly there’s over 200 people that signed up to play in the tournament. WOW! I also have the same reaction to the lens I rented. I only played with the lens for a few minutes, because I need to save my battery for the full day on Saturday. (I do have two batteries).

The lens I rented is the Canon 70-200mm F2.8. So far all I can say is wow! I love how fast it is, even though it is huge and can get heavy pretty quick. You could possibly build a little bit of arm muscle from holding this lens. : )

I did do a little bit of research so that I can get the most out of it for the weekend. I now know I should use mode 2 for the stabilization. Supposedly mode 2 is best to use for moving subjects (*or panning where there is a bit of fluidity and motion already being introduced to the lens to capture an image*).

I can’t wait to take more photos with this lens. I have a feeling I might fall in love with this lens.

It really did blow my mind how quickly the camera could change it’s focus in AF. The following four photos I panned from left to right #1 – #4

you do have to be at a certain distance to get something that is "too" close to you to be in focus. I love my Tone It Up socks! They are so comfortable and have extra cushion in certain spots. www.http://toneitup.com/
